The life stories of Belle Haven's elders, told in their own words and recorded by young people from the neighborhood.
For generations, families have made their homes in Belle Haven, coming from the Jim Crow South, Latin America, the Pacific Islands, Asia, and beyond. Belle Haven Voices is a planned project to sit down with the people who lived this community's history and keep their stories for the generations that follow. Conversations will happen in English, Spanish, Tongan, Samoan, or whatever language a storyteller calls home.
